My name is Wendi Walker and I design and make each and every one of my bears using the highest quality materials, which include Schulte mohair, ultra suede, English glass eyes, and cotter pin or nut and bolt joints. I use polyester filling and glass beads or steel shot to give extra weight.
It takes me on average 2-3 days to produce each bear and I pride myself on the quality of my work, they all are trimmed before sewing and are 'fray checked' and double stitched for strength and are sewn with great care and attention.
All bears are born with their very own handmade TT © wooden toggle and label attached to them and each one adopted directly from Toggle Teddies comes with an individually numbered birth certificate.
My bears have been featured in several magazines including, Teddy Bear Times, Teddy Bear Scene, and Teddy Bear Club International.
I also make Raggedy Dolls. They are made from tea stained calico fabric and dressed using mainly homespun fabrics as I feel it gives a real rustic charm to them. Please drop by the Dolls page for more details.
